Walk the Line
Stand on the first number. The second number tells you two things — how far to walk, and which way. Where you stop is the answer.
Watching one first is a strong way to start.
Drag it, tap the line, or use the arrow keys.
- 1−4 + 7 = −10−50510
- 23 + (−8) = −10−50510
- 3−5 + (−4) = −10−50510
- 46 + (−9) = −10−50510
- 5−7 + 7 = −10−50510
- 63 − 8 = −10−50510
- 7−2 − 5 = −10−50510
- 84 − (−3) = −10−50510
- 9−6 − (−9) = −10−50510
- 105 − 5 = −10−50510
There is no right answer here. It only tells your teacher where to start next time.
You walked all ten.
Four rules did all of it, and they are really only two — a positive walks right, a negative walks left, and subtracting turns you around.
The stretch is a choice. Taking it — or leaving it for another day — are both strong moves.

One probe row, built from what happened on this screen. Nothing is sent anywhere — copy it into the Goal Builder yourself, or print this page. Independent means walked with no hints; supported means walked after a hint. Both are real evidence and neither is a grade.

Items 1–5 add, 6–10 subtract, and two of them land on zero. Set 2 and Set 3 are the same ten skills with different numbers, so the same student can be probed three weeks running without being measured on memory.
