My Repair Plan

Work through each step of the Repair Protocol as if you were the person who caused the harm. Be specific. You can stay with the scenario characters throughout if you prefer.

Privacy note

This worksheet belongs to you. Your teacher will not collect or read the paper copy. Keep it in your journal or folder and bring it to class all year. The personal application section is yours alone.

Part 1 · Scenario practice — choose a card

How do you know this person is ready for the conversation? What signals tell you they are in their Window? What would you say to check in before starting?

Write exactly what the person who caused harm says — specific, honest, not defensive.

What specifically happened to the person who was hurt — not their feeling, but the actual consequence? Write what acknowledging the impact sounds like.

What specifically will change going forward? Not a feeling — an action.

What does the relationship look like going forward? Is it the same as before — or different?

Part 2 · Personal application

Private on paper. Think of a real rupture in your own life.

Is repair appropriate here — or is this a situation involving ongoing harm where safety comes first?

Not what you wish, but what would be real and true.
