What the Crosswalk Matrix is
A scene the class has lived through is the most reliable doorway into a lesson. The Crosswalk Matrix is where each load-bearing moment in the novel is mapped — in five columns — to exactly what to teach next.
Print it on cardstock and place it at the front of the teacher master document. Read a column left to right and a single scene becomes a sequenced lesson: the moment, the pillar it serves, its lesson coordinate, the chart that goes on the wall, and the concrete translation that makes it land for every learner in the room.

The faith layer is delivered by register, never as exegesis. In K–2 it is a single whisper-line at the very end of a chapter. By 3–5 it runs two to three sentences with one Scripture read slowly. In 6–8 it can be a full read-aloud paragraph; by 11–12 it can engage doctrine fully. The register is Reformed and confessional ESV. Each Divine edition is a standalone volume — it carries the complete curriculum for its band, so no separate secular book is needed to teach from it.
One architecture, five grade bands
The same four pillars — Identity, Self-Compassion, Forgiveness, Grace — spiral from a kindergarten carpet to a senior-year walk. The cohort is the same ten children, thirteen years running.
